This is a striking shot. I like all the contrasts...the painted face leaping out from the backdrop, the painted vs unpainted figures, brightly clothed vs dark almost invisible naked subjects, intent facial expression and active stance of the of the painter vs the almost bored expression and stance of the painted subject. Neat.
thanks alot for the comment. About this photo... you´ve got a great sense of light and angle. I love the photo...and the fact that the artist that is painting the model being imersed in dark...it´s really really good. FAV.
The artist was also a model who worked for the same agency that put on this workshop. She did three models (all featured in my gallery) in a sixteen hour period. She also painted her own hands silver for several shots.
Wow two differnt versions of art captured in one stunning piece... Oddly enough I am most attracted to the curls of hair on the girl painting. Stunning work however something about the composition does seem a little off to me, however I cannot quite pinpoint what it is exactly.
Checking it even as we speak. As for the compostion? It probably needs to shift a little to the left, possibly halving the void behind the painted model. I'm with you about the artist though. Would you believe that I was the only one there who thought to catch this moment when she touched up the paint?
