...is, apparently, NOT a myth!

I’m baaaaaaack!

And I’ve apparently come back as myself.
But, since I’m perfect, I can live with that!

My laptop took a turn for the worse about mid-may: ie Turned itself off and insisted on staying that way! I couldn’t afford to get it fixed until after my June payday. So...
...I was using my sister’s old laptop that she gave to me (when she bought her new one) because it was a piece of crap: No sound, CD/DVD drive didn’t work, Internet connection was a bit (read ‘completely) loopy. The only thing I couldn’t really deal with was the internet connection: It would take upto three attempts to send a comment on here. The page would time out the first attempt every... single... time! So it was necessary to save my comment so I could paste it when I hit the back button or had to restart the internet connection again (way too often).
To give you some indication of just how frustrating this was (In comparison with when I got my repaired laptop back): I have a set sequence of internet pages I check every day. With the replacement laptop it would take me 1 – 1 ½ hours (with several restarts). When I got my laptop back: 15 minutes.
Yes I am still sane. Or as sane as I could hope to be. But the backlog!
I managed to clear the 150 posts from the people I watch in a day or two (I still have dial-up – I never thought dial-up would look good!) And I managed to drop the messages below 200. I managed to keep up with the comments but the s and +adds got away from me. And I think they’re going to stay that way too! And my regular posts had to be put on hold because they just would not go! So to those who thought I’d given up on DA: The rumours of my demise are greatly exaggerated.
The one thing the replacement laptop had (that kept me from tossing it out the nearest window) was Adobe Photoshop so I was able to keep up with my post-processing so, although slow because of the weather, shoots continue at a steady pace.
