...when you pour boiling water down a rabbit hole?
A hot Cross Bunny.
(And PETA on your arse! But that's beside the point.)
It's my Easter Joke. I only have the one and now you know why!
April!
...Already? My how time flies!
The year seems to have calmed down since my last journal. Which could just be a matter of perspective. Of course no new shit has hit the fan in a while so it could also just be relief....
The saying seems to be right: "Time heals all wounds." Which seems fair since the bugger inflicts most of them in the first place!
I've been getting in some cool shoots over the last month so that's probably helped my morale too.
So: Without further ado, my March shoots:
Finally: My 2nd shoot with Staci. While it may have taken almost a year and a half and a dozen cancellations it was definitely worth the wait.
The seriously amazing Charlotte. If you have a chance to work with this lady, do it! She freaking rocks! Based in Tauranga she commutes to Auckland regularly...
And the stunning Skylar. An amazing lady and an absolute delight to work with!
And a new feature (probably regular because source material should be abundant):
Dumb Fucking Line of the Week Award
or
DFLWA
Due to time distortion (Nz is a year behind America. I'm about 3 weeks behind NZ in getting to the stuff on my hard drive) this is probably old news:
This week's award goes to Terra Nova, a show I really want to like but....
"It's a meteor!"
"It's coming in fast!"
OMFG! No! A FAST meteor? I wonder what a slow one would look like? Maybe some come in on parachutes...?
(Thankyou for the emoticon. Couldn't find one in the public list)
A slight difference to my usual set of s The original idea was to go through all the faves I'd picked over the years and post my best 20-30. Oh My! The first year I managed to chalk up over 1300! When I started cutting it down I was distressed to see the number of artists that had left, been banned or otherwise become inactive on DA! Still: It was impossible to cut it down to less than 10 a year:
So this is going to be a six--part feature.
Part 4: 2008-2009:

Day 14 of Lockdown....
And finally a chance to catch up on some editing...
...Hahahahahaha!
More like: 10 shifts in 14 days = 109 hours
I finally got some time off over Easter and I pretty much slept through the first two days.
With nothing better to do for the other two days I revisited my Patreon.
I’m cutting my original posts down to 20 images each and putting them up for a limited time (maybe: I’m making this up as I go along!) at a reduced rate.

Stay safe everyone.
OMF'ingG!
Happy 2020 everyone!
I hope the planet makes it to 2021!
I’m not a particularly political person but...
...Has anyone seen ‘Wag the Dog’?
A president, facing a sex scandal, decides a nice little war in Albania will distract the public....
Change the sex scandal to an impeachment, Albania becomes Iran....
....And: ‘Remember Benghazi?’ I can imagine that conversation!
“Yes Mister President: You can say you were trying to avoid another Benghazi.”
“Ben who?”
Meanwhile Australia is on fire. Apparently it’ll take a century for the planet to scrub all the carbon dioxide, produced

Don't want to be a richer man….
Wouldn’t mind not living under a bridge though!
But times they are a changing!
(Bowie to Dylan… This is turning into quite a lyrical post!)
For the first time in a long time (19 years) I find myself unemployed. Not that I didn’t see it coming: Having redundancy hanging over your head for most of your working life tends to make it part of the landscape though.
So: Looking to generate a little extra income to make the redundancy payment stretch a bit.
The only other skill I have besides computer operating (a, pretty much, dead occup
Time flies like an arrow...
...Fruit flies like a banana.
Its been a while.
I wouldn’t say I’ve been wrestling with depression: More like wrestling with ambivalence.
After mum died and... other stuff... I found I had a lot of things in my life I just didn’t care about. Work, issues..., post-processing, keeping up with submissions to DA....
Part of the DA stuff was the wish to revamp my site but not being able to delete old/unwanted images except one at a time in a, way too laborious, task when you had to consider the removal of over a 1000 images. No help from DA though. It took me way too long to realise I could just chuck everything in storage
